Dougie Mac Mugs Run off the Kiln for Charity fundraising

Today saw the first of the Charity mugs come off the production line to help boost Churchill's fundraising efforts for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

With the slogan ‘Life sets no paths… just follow your heart’ the mugs have a heart-warming design which embraces the race element of Churchill’s fundraising push in May.

With 100% of the proceeds going to the charity, the mugs will cost £5 each and they will be available to purchase from Churchill’s factory shop, Douglas Macmillan charity shops and at fundraising events throughout the year. Churchill are also encouraging local companies to get involved by selling them to employees and visitors and the Hanley Economic is already signed up to selling them through its branches.

Part of a limited run, the mugs have been designed and manufactured at Churchill’s Sandyford factory with support from local suppliers including Furlong Mills, Endeka Ceramics, Ceramitec Printers, Cardway Cartons and Screen Supply.

We would encourage everyone to please get involved in some way, by buying the mug or sponsoring the manufacturing and running teams online.

Requests for mugs to sell can be made via Rose by calling 01782 577566. Alternatively to sponsor the team online visit their just giving page or text CHUR48 £5 to 70070 to donate £5.

Why we're supporting the Dougie Mac

Douglas Macmillan Hospice cares for adults and their families across North Staffordshire, who have cancer and other life limiting illnesses, completely free of charge . The Hospice needs to raise over £9 million each year. The hospice is dependent upon the continuing generosity of our supporters.

Churchill Charity Challenge

To commemorate Douglas Macmillan Hospice's 40th year Churchill is kicking off it's fundraising efforts to raise over £40,000 to enable the hospice to continue serving the local community.

This blog will update on progress towards the total, individual efforts, local companies supporting the fundraising and also launch the mug design.
